No, EUROSTART™ BRS Remote Starters are designed to be installed without cutting or soldering to your vehicle’s factory wiring. They utilize OEM wiring methods and come with a vehicle-specific harness for a seamless installation.

Does the remote starter require an extra vehicle key?

Yes, you’ll need one of your vehicle’s key fobs to operate the remote start function. If you need an additional key fob, you can purchase one from your local dealership.

Is a remote control included with the EUROSTART™ Remote Starter?

No, a remote control is not included. You can use your vehicle’s factory key fob to activate remote start. For extended range, you can purchase a Compustar RF kit or a DroneMobile smartphone interface separately. Compatible RF kits include the Compustar Prime R3, Pro R3, Prime T9, Pro T11, and Pro T12.

Can I use my factory key fob to remote start the vehicle?

Yes, you can remote start your vehicle by pressing the lock button on your factory key fob three times, holding the last press for 2-3 seconds. This feature is available on products sold after October 23, 2020.

Can I lock and unlock my vehicle using the remote control or smartphone interface?

Yes, all products sold after October 23, 2020 support remote locking and unlocking. You can use your factory key fob, a Compustar RF kit, or a DroneMobile smartphone interface to control these functions.

Does a remote starter void my manufacturer warranty on my vehicle?

NO! This is a very common misconception that we would love to clear up. As ministry-certified 310K installers, our work does not void any warranty and you are protected by the Canada Consumer Protection Act (similar to the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act in the USA). In fact, we install our systems into brand new vehicles on behalf of local dealerships daily. Our work is trusted and we always stand behind it for you.
