My husband went to DDF to diagnose a sketchy backup cam (installed by someone else) and while there I asked to get a quote for an audio system upgrade in my car.Mike, the tech who looked at the backup cam in my husband’s truck was fantastic. He clearly knew his stuff and came out to talk to us about what he thought the problem was and next steps that made sense. Great communication and super nice guy.The other tech, Amad, who discussed my audio upgrade options was also amazing. Polite, friendly and very knowledgeable. No pushy sales tactics, just solid expertise and info.Thanks also to Jacqueline, who sent me several detailed audio options to consider and transparent pricing.We’ve been to DDF for remote starters, rust-proofing, window-tint, etc., in the past. I always feel like questions are welcome at DDF without the obligation. Doug is also a fountain of knowledge and takes all the time in the world to make sure you understand your options for any auto service you’re looking for.These guys (and gals) are the gold-star standard for audio and car accessories and I’m happy to recommend them to anyone.

This place is amazing. I purchased a WRX last week and brought it in for tint. The customer service was wonderful, and the job that they did is absolutely top notch! I had the pleasure of dealing with DDF about 2 weeks ago. The staff was friendly and polite. They were very informative and a all around joy to speak to. I had my car windows tinted I have never had tint on a car before the staff was wonderful explaining the time frame and the process to me. I would highly recommend going here and plan to go back to help better my speakers. Thank you to all the great staff.

I walked in off the street today to ask them a few questions. Doug and Jacqueline answered all my questions. They are a professional, friendly and knowledgeable group. After 10 minutes talking to them and telling me my options I never felt pressured or that I was getting the run around. There prices were more than fair and on top of that they warranty their work which is a plus in my books. They took my vehicle right in and kept me updated the entire time of how the install was going. The techs that worked in the shop also worked professional and the shop was clean and tidy. Shows they take pride in their work. I am one happy customer and will recommend them to anybody that is looking for accessories.

I have found out the hard way about undercoating your vehicle.This is my second time coming back. Job is great and clean and reasonably priced.Also had my back window tint on my Sonata bubbling so I was worried about the removal with the defrost wires there.They did an amazing job on the R&R on the tint.Highly recommend their tint service. Had a booked appointment for a 4K Dash Cam install this morning. After having arrived early for my appointment, prior to store opening, staff greeted me and opened early to accommodate. The install and completion was all done within their specified timeline, which was pre-discussed, along with a bit of additional work tasked to Kyle. They had a staff tech come out and give me a through walk through, post install, on the set-up and function of the installed Dash Cam unit. Very patient, thorough and consummately professional.Whilst onsite, the staff {Jennifer} was tested by a situation where I must say, she handled on a stellar level. She excelled at maintaining a calm and non-reactive presence. Have myself been interacting with clients for the better part of 4 decades, I assure you that indeed Jennifer showed and kept a level of integrity not often seen these days.An out of control customer having unrealistic expectations for their vehicle, as it alone posed an obvious danger to the DDF staff, does not have any right and/or reason to constitute the behavior they exhibited.This is a business, that in my professional opinion, does clean and proficient work all the while exhibiting excellent communication and presentation. The team which Jennifer promotes and the work I observed, as overseen and instructed by Kyle is top notch. Well done to you all ☺

I had an IGLA anti theft system installed four months ago, and just recently had an attempt to steal that vehicle be thwarted by that IGLA system.The kind folks at DDF helped me get the damage sorted and installed another IGLA system in my wife’s vehicle for additional peace of mind.They are professional and highly skilled at what they do. Highly recommend. I took my jeep here to have an aftermarket screen radio installed, they did a perfect job and it was easy to connect with my phone, they were able to get my steering wheel controls to work too! (a must have for me).I also on a separate date had them install an aftermarket remote start which works great.They also installed a back-up camera for me and connected that to my screen radio.Nice staff, nice environment to wait in (AC, couches).A+

I am extremely pleased with the service that I received at this shop. I recently had a dash cam installed here and the installation was professional and very clean. The front desk is very helpful and scheduled me in for an installation within only 24 hours. The installation was quick as they had 2 employees working on the car at the same time. Only 1 hour and I was in and out. Their pricing is also very reasonable. They do not price gouge like some other shops in the GTA. Highly recommend!

Amazing staff and products. Bought a kenwood deck for my truck and also had them install a backup camera that wasn’t on my truck. Couldn’t be happier and will be back again. Doug and his excellent team at DDF have tinted eight of my vehicles and the service and the quality of the work is always absolutely amazing. In addition to having tint work done I was also lucky enough to have Wes help fix an issue caused be a previous stereo installation (done at a different shop) that was preventing my vehicle from being read by the e test center. I have been visiting DDF for about 20yrs.Always a friendly courteous professional and caring business to deal with. I was able to get my car in next day for the rust check application.I fully believe in this rust inhibitor compound solution. I have coated 5 of my last vehicles and no rust has surfaced. A 78 Camaro with a loonie sized piece of rust on my wheelwell had not gotten and worse than the day I bought that vehicle after six years of ownership. This stuff works.Do the math. A hundred bucks for rust inhibitor or 3000 bucks for autobody repair.No brainer.Barry Harris

Was happy with my service. The people working there are great in trying to help me learn my new device. But, for what ever reason there was one who was not helpful. She was making the situation worst. I just finished making a purchase and was asking for help learning the product. I was told to read the manual and basically it was up to me to learn it. Yes this is correct but I would like a basic understanding before I left. Eric was great and so were the other staff in helping me. They were patient which I needed not so from the the other.

Just had my Toyota in to install a dash cam that I had purchased off the net that turned out to be much more complicated that originally thought. Can’t stress enough how great they are and honest. Eric worked on my vehicle and his communication and customer service was beyond amazing. After they did so well with the first smaller job I booked with them I have already looked to do more business with them and booked more work on my vehicle.

I took my truck in late fall to have a remote starter installed, the crew did a great job. Just had the truck back in to install an apple car play. Once again they knocked it outta the park. Before ordering parts to connect the rear view camera they reached out to confirm the price and if it was ok to proceed. Once spring comes I’ll be going back for them to tint my windows. Great friendly service

Recently had a remote starter installed onto my wife's vehicle. Cannot say anything bad about these guys. Customer service was great. After getting it home I found a button on the dash wasn't working anymore. I advised the shop. They apologized politely (one harness wasn't fully plugged in). They resolved the issue quickly with no hassle. It has been a week now and we use the remote start almost every day. Morning routine gamechanger lol. Thanks Doug for not only your shops' professionalism, but its accountability.

I initially bought a budget 8" subwoofer unit from them, and my expectations of its performance were unreasonable. I decided to upgrade to a 12" and they readily accepted my return and promptly prepared the 12" for me. Very happy with my purchase! Great friendly service! Had RustCheck applied to my vehicle, you can tell they really get in there with the product! I have had my vehicles oiled at other places in the past and had found that they left the interior of my vehicle an oily mess! Definitely not the case at DDF. When inquiring about other services they offer, such as remote starters, they were great at explaining different options and how they work.Will definitely be back next year, if not sooner!

I've been shopping around Barrie for remote car starters with installation. The person on the phone at DDF Automotive was definitely the most knowledgeable and explained in detail what is required (my car is Manual). Surprisingly the price is also the best. So far, so good. Great rustproofing product. Been using DDF and their Rust Check services for decades. My 1990 Mustang still looks like when I got it back in '89. My Rav and Civic too. Just as important, terrific staff to work with as well.

DDF has gone above and beyond the entire time I have owned my car which has been 5 years.They installed my car starter for Audi .If I have an issue with hardware or software Jaqueline and Eric will do everything possible to resolve the problem and get it fixed as soon as possible.I had a dash cam installed by DDF for a very good price. Unfortunately I had an hardware issue but they replaced the unit hassle free under warranty.Anytime I need information on products or pricing Jaqueline is reliable and figures out exactly what is needed for the job at hand.I received prompt email reply’s , convenient appointments and great pricing.Jaqueline goes out of here way and follows up with an email to confirm everything was working well after each appointment.Finding a reliable trust worthy shop is hard to find , don’t worry DDF is your place!!Lee.S

I see the odd person complain on here BUT that hasnt been my experience. I came to DDF initially to have an security system installed on my new truck. The one we decided on wasnt compatable but they took the time to find one that is It works great, no complaints. I then decided to have my truck Rust Checked another day and they did a great job. Deff recomend

I have been going to DDF for 3 years now. I did the Diamond coat (undercoating) and I have to go back on a yearly basis to get touch ups. I have had only great experiences, polite staff and patient. Doug is extremely helpful and polite and he does not push for upselling he just provided the facts and offered advise on maintenance.

I spent more than 3000$ here to do rust proofing, ceramic coating, tinting and tag anti theft system install. Their quality of work is pretty goodBut I was not completely satisfied. First of all the people there are always super busy with other dealership related car detailing I guess and sometime they don't even have proper time to talk to customers.I usually assumed if we get ceramic coating done first step would be to buff up scratches and then do it on top. But for me they did the ceramic coating and now I can clearly see a lot of swirl marks underneath the coating which spoils the look of the car really. When I initially paid for the service they did not explain buffing at all so I assumed it was already part of ceramic coating. But after getting car back when I asked them why they did not buff the car, they told me that they cannot read people's minds and that I should be clear in what I wanted to be done with the car. That part I felt was quite rudeHope they improve on their customer service

Good service for rust control

Went in for an appointment today to have a car remote starter put in my vehicle. Very helpful staff, answered all my questions and they were fast and efficient. I was originally told it would take 3 hours and it took 2 hours. So far I am very pleased with my new starter.

I contacted DDF wondering if they could install a stereo for me, they were very quick to respond and set up an appointment for me right away, they ordered the parts for me extremely fast and just in about 4 days they were working on my car!Cheryl and Jacqueline helped me out through all the steps to be able to do this as soon as possible, and Eric was able to do everything in about an hour and a half for a good price,Thank you DDF!

Very nice group of people. Place to go for any aftermarket work. Jacqueline and Doug are very educated on all types of automotive work. Have not had tint done yet but have got quite a few different types of lights installed and custom light bar made. Also had exhaust work done. It was done within an hour. Of course other jobs would take longer but it was done quick and I am very satisfied.
